L'espace d'art #5

  Yesterday I signed all the papers to enter at the Lisbon University of Architecture! At night i was exchanging some comments about the school with a friend she adviced me to search out for the following architect, Peter Zumthor, and I did.

  Peter Zumthor is an Architect that cames from the 60's, his work is specialized in materials quality and details, he did his studies in New York and altough he's borned swiss.

  Among the status, recognition and prizes Zumthor as many published books. Now it's time to apreciate his creations!

Une fille dans le monde (Last Post)

  Inês Leal is a amateur photographer born in 1987 in the city of Faro in southern Portugal, who attended the course in Visual Arts to the 12th grade in high school Tomas Cabreira.

  In 2005, she began practicing photography as a hobby and in 2008 started her business doing various jobs, such as fashion magazines, billboards, jobs in shopping malls, shops, jobs for model agencies, workshops for children and others.

  Recently, she was the face of a clothing store with a work of her own (self-portrait). 

Inês likes to innovate and to keep learning. In this world of photography, (un)fortunately, there's a lot of competition these days. Photographers don't want to make a good work, they want to have a better work than their fellow photographers and that is sad and unprofessional.

  Photography is art! It can be interpreted in several ways, but the real soul of this play is in reality, it isn't just limited to "copying it". To get a good picture, it's not like just pressing the trigger, there must be sensitivity to get a good picture!

  

 The photograph expresses moments, sensations, and a way to preserve memories.

Dark room dreams get lost in the flat screen #4

"The Holy Mountain" by Alejandro Jodorowsky

  The Thief (Horacio Salinas), a christlike figure,  wanders through bizarre grotesque scenarios filled with religious and sacrilegious imagery. He meets a Alchemist (Alejandro Jodorowsky) who introduces him to seven wealthy and powerful individuals, each representing a planet in the solar system. 

  They are related to planets in astrological terms and portrayed with broad-brush satire, each personifying the worst aspects of his or her planet's supposed characteristics. The seven consist of: a cosmetics manufacturer (Venus), a weapons manufacturer (Mars), a millionaire art dealer (Jupiter), a war toy maker (Saturn), a political financial adviser (Uranus), a police chief (Neptune) and an architect (Pluto). They are gathered together by the alchemist who instructs them to burn their money and wax images of themselves.

  These seven, along with the protagonist, the guide and the guide's assistant, divest themselves of their worldly goods and form a group of ten who will seek out the Holy Mountain, in order to displace the gods who live there and become immortal.

  This psychedelic journey was produced in 1973 by The Beatles manager Allen Klein. The Beatles member George Harrison was intended to play the main character but he withdrew when read in the script he had to wash his anus in front of the camera.

  Jodorowsky used LSD for the purpose of spiritual exploration and he also administered psychedelic mushrooms to his actors during the shooting of the death-rebirth scene.
